You can't always get what you want. This is hard for some people to accept. Some people just graze through life getting what they want and not expecting anything different. They make everyone else bend to their version of reality and just want you to swallow it wholesale. They will do whatever it takes to get what they desire, even if it's at the expense of others. Hopefully, you don't have any of these kinds of people in your life, but you will probably have to run into them at one point or another. Especially at retail environments. 

You've heard about them, you've dealt with them, and you wish you hadn't. We'll call them Karens because that's the easiest term to use, but they can be of any gender. These are the people who will stop at nothing to prove they're correct, no matter if there's any truth to that or not.

    Entitled woman thinks she'll have my new console...

    ok so when the Nintendo switch 2 got released, I went in after work to pick it up, i had 4 days off to play so yay, the employee knows me and asks am I here to pick up my switch I say yep and she goes to the back to get it for me.

  • That's what happened in this encounter, where a customer went through a normal retail interaction just to be interrupted by a pushy Karen who wouldn't leave until she had what she “needed.” And by needed, I mean wanted. So this customer had an instantaneous revenge response-- one that turned out to be pretty controversial.

    as im waiting em walks in and asks the other employee for a switch 2 for her kid, he tells her they are sold out but she can preorder for the next shipment in a couple of weeks, nope she wants one now, at this point mine has come out and getting bagged up, she looks at me when I'm passed my bag and asks me for it.

    I tell her no it's mine, she tells me it's for her son and he deserves it for geting all A's, well I have read a lot about these Karens I tell her that this is for my son and he got A+. so I walkout the door with my switch she follows me and we argue back and forth a bit.

    I will mention today my allergies have been acting up, so as she starts another tirade to why her son needs my switch 2 more than my "son" I feel a build up for a sneeze now normally I sneeze into a tissue but today she was me off, I just wanted to go home and play my new console, so I sneezed very forcefully all over her her face which was covered in my snot, I did feel a bit bad, so I said ohh im sorry this CO ID is kicking my b t.

That can be considered assault and she could have very easily called the cops on you. (And I somehow doubt 'well she followed me into the parking lot demanding my console' would be much of a defense.)

    Way to loose any sympothy from me here. Because that, my "friend," is assault. The entitled woman had no right to your Switch 2, of course. But she would have had every right at that point to call the police on you. And even if you fled the scene, presumably since you were picking up a pre-order, the police could have gotten your info from the game store.
